Selective Laser Melting
Selective Laser Melting is an advanced additive manufacturing technique designed to fuse metallic powder using a high-power density laser. This process constructs the body of a designed 3D part by selectively melting and re-solidifying metallic powders layer by layer. After each layer is formed, the building platform is incrementally lowered by a tiny fraction, and a new layer of powder is deposited, allowing for precise control and intricate detailing in the fabrication process.
Laser Metal Deposition
Laser Metal Deposition is an additive manufacturing process wherein a laser beam is utilized to create a pool of molten metal on a metallic substrate. Metal powder is continuously fed into this melt pool via a nozzle. Temperature measurement sensors employed in this process must endure the high energy density of the laser or its reflections.

Cladding and Wire Arc Manufacturing
Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) combines Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) with additive manufacturing techniques. In this process, metal wire is melted using an electric arc and deposited layer by layer to form a desired 3D shape. The temperature of the previous layer can affect the shape of the subsequent layer, making temperature monitoring crucial during the cladding process. Monitoring the heat distribution provides valuable feedback on the quality of the welding process
