FAQ on Compact Industrial Autonomous Ethernet Infrared Camera.

Is software required to operate the infrared camera?

No, the infrared camera can function independently without a computer. However, the PIXConnect software is required for setup and configuration.

Does the package include an Ethernet cable?

The standard scope of supply includes a PoE adapter for Ethernet usage.

What is the method to focus the camera?

The motorized focus can be adjusted using the PIXConnect software. Simply click the “distance” button in the toolbar and adjust the focus using the slider.

Is it possible for the infrared camera to send temperature data from specific spots or areas to my PLC?

Yes, the infrared camera can send temperature data or alarms to your PLC through the Process Interface connection located on the back of the camera. The package includes a cable with integrated electronics and a terminal block. The camera can be configured in PIXConnect software as an Analog Input (AI) and Digital Input (DI) to control the camera, or as an Analog Output (AO) to manage the process. The signal level is always 0-10 V (DI = 24 V). Additionally, an optional industrial process interface can transmit up to three independent temperature values or alarms to a user-supplied PLC. For applications needing more than three areas, USB-RS485 adapters are available.
